WordPress won't suffer, WordPress using Elementor or one of the equally bloated builders...that will suffer (and about time too!)!
Not a fan of WordPress but this actually favours WordPress over something like Gatsby etc as SSR is favoured with TBT and CLS being the metrics getting a bump.
That is true, but unfortunately for everybody else that seems to be the general theme instead of the exception. I know WordPress Dev shops have to exist that build crap by hand... But I've yet to interface with one.

Oh there are plenty of them...hopefully the Web Experience update will slowly kill the "churn out another 5mb template this week" shops into the ground...but I doubt it, most people don't consider performance until their second or third time of wasting money and time! 😋
