AgentKit vs n8n ⚔️ | Which Side Are You On?

Let’s be real, every AI dev has an opinion on this one.

When it comes to AI automation, two worlds are colliding:

  • AgentKit: For those who believe in autonomous, reasoning-driven agents. 🧠

  • N8n: For those who just want fast, visual orchestration that works. 🔄

In our latest podcast clip, we debated the real difference between the two:
👉 AgentKit vs N8n: The REAL Difference

It’s not just about features, it’s about philosophy.

Do you want your AI to think, or just flow?
Should developers focus on autonomy or connectivity?

Some of us love the flexibility of n8n. Others think AgentKit’s deeper logic is the only way forward for Agentic AI.

Either way, this debate says a lot about where AI tooling is headed.

I don’t see AgentKit and n8n as being in opposition - quite the opposite. In my experience they are complementary tools, and in fact I use them together in tandem.

True! I think the debate comes up because they are strong tools at the moment. But working with both might be the smartest choice. Still…do you lean toward one more than the other?

Thanks for the question — I believe my latest article already addresses that.
In short: I see AgentKit and n8n not as rivals, but as complementary tools. I use them together: n8n for broader orchestration and workflows, and AgentKit for the parts where strict schema, validation and retry logic matter.
Happy to dive deeper if you’re curious about how I actually integrate both in practice.
