Recently, I gave a candidate a already coded "cute/clever" solution and asked them to walk me through the steps they would take to refactor for readability! That was quite fun.
I gave an interviewee a problem my team couldn't fully figure out a while ago. He came up with a pretty solid solution which he implemented the Monday after, on his first day.
