This text attempts to expose the contemporary mechanisms of power that conceal oligarchic rule under the guise of democratic procedures. Drawing on the concepts of Gaetano Mosca and Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn, the author analyzes the Polish political scene as an electoral theater, where real deliberation is replaced by attention engineering and the algorithmic tyranny of suggestion. The article examines how Big Data and modern technologies contribute to the political infantilization of society and destroy the foundations of individual freedom. Seeking a way out of the systemic crisis, the author invokes historical and theoretical alternatives, from constitutional monarchy to classical republicanism based on civic virtue. This is a profound civilizational diagnosis, raising questions about the future of sovereignty in a world dominated by technocracy.
