Question
When I click the invitation test link, a message is displayed indicating that the format is incorrect or the installation application cannot be started. What can I do?
Note
With AppGallery, developers can create invitation tests and select specific user groups to test HarmonyOS applications/metaservices before the official release of applications.
To Troubleshoot
- Check whether the invitation test link format is correct, whether parameter values meet requirements, and whether necessary parameters are missing according to the procedure in the invitation test official website.
- Check whether the system browser is used to open the link.
- Check whether the phone's system version is the latest.
- Ensure that the old version of the app has been uninstalled from your phone.
Possible Problems
When you click the invitation test link, a message is displayed indicating that the format is incorrect or the application cannot be started. The possible applications are as follows:
- During the transmission of the invitation test link, the format of the link is changed. As a result, the format is incorrect.
- The invitation test link is not opened using the system browser. As a result, the link fails to be opened.
- The test application cannot be installed due to the earlier version of the phone.
- An old version of an app is not uninstalled on your phone. As a result, the test app cannot be installed.
Solutions
- You are advised to use the invitation code mode to generate the invitation test link. In this mode, you do not need to maintain the test user.
- Ensure that the link is correct during transmission.
- Use the system browser to open the link.
- Early prototypes and systems do not support encrypted applications due to hardware restrictions because they do not have preconfigured certificates. It is recommended that devices with preconfigured certificates be replaced, the system be upgraded to the latest version, or the software package type be set to non-encryption during the test invitation.
- Uninstall the old version of the app (including the private space app) from your phone and reinstall the app.
