Skills/Languages

Ultimately, I think a language is but a tool. I have experience with a large number of them. The ones I have no experience with, I can probably pick up quickly enough.

Most of my professional experience has been in Java. However, I also do front-end work from time to time. Some of my biggest hobby projects have been in PHP, and I've done some C++ as well.

Currently learning

I always like to learn, but my learning is mostly guided by my projects. Well, I do have a project running where a main reason was to learn some Python, but that was an exception.

I did recently finally pick up some basic Docker skills. And now I'm also interested in the underlying techniques, thinking I might end up using nspawn in the future of one of my project.

Currently hacking on

- An online text editor / IDE (my main project)
- A discord bot written in Node
- A text-based game in Python
- Rescuing (non-vital) data from a failing hard drive

Oh, and my new Pinebook Pro is currently taking up some of my time as well...
