I see your point and I probably don't use the gym discounts (as I was going to another that I've near home before the covid) but I'm getting a health insurance due to long waiting for each service on public one (I'm from Spain and the public health services are saturated tbh, specially for giving the free service to every person, no matter if they are on the EU or not, and no matter if they quote taxes or not) so It's a nice plus similar to paying you around 500-600€/year more (that's the average cost of private health insurances)
