Is it memory decline, or is it because my brain is overloaded?
In IT work, it’s usually impossible to handle tasks one at a time in a sequential manner, finishing one before moving on to the next. This is probably the most frustrating part of the job.
There are often situations where I have to handle two or three things simultaneously. When things get too hectic, I sometimes feel like I don’t even know what I’m doing, even though I manage to complete all the tasks properly.
In such cases, I often forget whether I’ve done certain things that day. I guess humans just aren’t great at multitasking. Maybe if tasks like these could be delegated to AI as a buffer, it could solve my problem.
Taking a six-month or even a year-long break from work might help me recover a lot, but unfortunately, I need to keep working to make a living. I simply can’t afford to quit and take a proper break, so there’s no way for me to test that theory.
