In my opinion, AI’s most practical use right now is its ability to summarize information. It helps us quickly extract key points, which is invaluable since human reading speed is limited—especially when dealing with non-native languages.
Another major advantage is handling large amounts of information. In the past, we had to rely on search engines and manually sift through results, often encountering excessive ads and irrelevant content. Due to algorithmic changes, it has also become increasingly difficult to find exactly what we need.
Thankfully, AI has solved this problem to some extent. However, once we get used to it, we might gradually lose our ability to quickly search for answers, think critically, and summarize information ourselves.
That said, AI is just fast—it hasn’t surpassed human creativity in summarization or idea generation. It simply provides quick summaries, and sometimes the results aren’t ideal or even consistent. That’s why, every time I use it, I make sure to save the conversation. When I have time, I go back, review, and refine the responses to learn and develop better answers. I believe this is a crucial skill.
Right now, I think there are two main types of AI users:
- Those who use AI as a learning tool, continuously reviewing and improving their knowledge even after completing a task.
- Those who use AI to complete a task and then immediately forget about it.
This's why I believe that in the future, the gap between people will only continue to grow.
