What do you mean by local content? And where are you trying to show it?
Typically you can only show content local to the website. So if the site is on localhost, it can only load content from your computer.
If the site is on the internet, then you need to upload the content too.
Now that's where I'm totally confused..the site is on my localhost yet saying cannot load local resources. I'm explorer shows the pictures but Chrome and Firefox seem to have a some sort of defense that blocks these objects.
Could you paste in the exact error you're seeing? We'll be better able to help you that way.
You're right, it might be a defense. IE is old and less safe, Chrome, Firefox and especially Safari have new safety features.
It makes things hard to learn sometimes, but it keeps us all safer!
