For the past 5 years, I'm seeking underrated artists from various genres, mostly indie pop artists. And I discovered some rock bands along the way. Here are some rock songs that still stuck in my head:
I'm a friendly, non-dev, cisgender guy from NC who enjoys playing music/making noise, hiking, eating veggies, and hanging out with my best friend/wife + our 3 kitties + 1 greyhound.
I came back several times as I remember some songs in the playlist.
People may find the list is kind of biased to psychedelic rocks and indie rock that sound unlikely to rock in general, but they're recognized as rock bands.

Oh totally! You are most def welcome to come back and add as many tunes as you want. I really enjoy digging through'em all.
Also, I really, really like your suggestions! The category I threw out was "rock" and that's super broad. I'm happy you took it in the direction that ya did; I too am a lover of indie and psychedelic rock. 🙌 Once again, our musical tastes overlap, haha.
In the coming weeks, I might focus us in on different subsets of rock, like "indie rock", "psychedelic rock", "classic rock", "hard rock", "metal", etc. 🎸

Oooo lotsa fun indie rock here! I used to really dig Bombay Bicycle Club and actually saw'em live in Scotland in ~2015 when I lived over there. They kinda fell off my radar, so this was a cool way to get caught up with'em.
based on desc in the MV video, 2015 was like their last year before hiatus and they come with this single in 2020.
Maybe the above list isn't underrated after all hahaha. Spotify & Youtube recommendation (after you played your own playlist) effectively introduced me to those artists.

Niiice! Gotta love it when the algorithm gets it right. 🙌
One the indie side, not long ago I discovered Daniel Norgren who kinda has bluesy, folky sound that gets quite trancey too... at least in the album Buck that's kinda his sound.

Check out the song Howling Around My Happy Home:
This feels like Country and Blues music chills tunes combined.
