Mostly true. 5G defines three use cases: Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Massive Machine Type Communications (mMTC) and Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC). The last two are good for IoT. New innovative apps beyond IoT might benefit from all three. We have to wait and see. More info about these use cases at devopedia.org/5g-technology
