I’m a 3D artist and game developer, and over the years I’ve spent a lot of time working with PBR textures and 3D assets for games, environments, and real-time projects.
During that time, I realized how important three things are for artists:
clarity, consistency, and trust.
That idea is what led me to build PolyScan.

PolyScan is a small but growing library of free CC0 PBR textures and 3D models created using real-world photogrammetry workflows. Every asset is processed with the goal of being immediately usable in production, no special setup, no hidden restrictions.
What I focus on with PolyScan:
Clean, consistent PBR maps (Albedo, Normal, Roughness, height 32bit etc.)
Real-world scale and believable surface detail
Assets that work well in Unreal Engine, Unity, and Blender
A simple CC0 license, no signup, no attribution required

Most of the assets start as real-world scans and are carefully cleaned and optimized for real-time use. I try to keep everything practical, not experimental, the kind of assets you can drop into a scene and start working right away.
This project is still evolving, and I’m improving the workflow with every new scan. PolyScan is built by an artist, for artists, with a focus on quality over quantity.
If you’re a 3D artist or developer, I’d love to know:
What do you value most in PBR textures or asset libraries?
Thanks for reading.
