As a 23 yo in tech, and a student who like countless others went through half
of their college in pandemic, I love Al.
But somedays I want nothing to do with it.
Somedays I'm blown by the shiny new Al tool that comes in the market.
The rest I'm riddled with anxiety about being replaced and not even having found my 'niche' yet.
It's just been 2 years since I entered
the industry and the speed at which it evolves is sometimes dizzying,
okay most of the times :)
It feels dystopian already, when I sometimes look around while working it feels scary at how many people don't realize it yet.
Should I switch to something that Al can't do at all like that techie who switched to welding after getting laid off? Is there even a place Al can't reach?? Am I getting laid off soon???
These are some questions that I ask myself as I then go on to update my JIRA and work on my next task.
