Developer training with Ingressive 4 Good: First impressions.

As a self-taught developer with no real-world experience trying to navigate my way through the all too confusing world of frontend web development, I have built my confidence by building several projects, which has helped me be more comfortable at solving problems that I would have shunned as a beginner. The next logical step is to collaborate and network with other developers of varying experience levels from my own.
The Ingressive For Good internship is a great opportunity for me to move closer to approach my goals to:

  • Deepen my knowledge of Javascript
  • network and collaborate with other developers
  • get mentored by people with more experience than mine
  • Have fun while doing it

Today marks one week since the internship started, the first week being the onboarding stage of the internship. The mentors(some of whom I have previously interacted with in the HNG internship held in 2020) have been helpful so far.
The languages I am expected to learn and accomplish tasks in are HTML, CSS, Javascript, I am already familiar with these and can handle most trivial and non-trivial tasks with them. I will also be expected to become familiar with PHP, a technology I barely have any experience with, I suspect it won't be too much of an issue learning this language based on my past experience with other technologies.
