Most “supply chain security” advice fails the first time it meets real engineering work: deadlines, legacy systems, handoffs between teams, and vendors who won’t answer your questionnaire. A plan that only works in perfect conditions is not a plan—it’s a slide deck. If you want security that holds up when the build breaks at 2 a.m., the goal is simple: reduce the number of places an attacker can hide, and increase the number of times you can prove what happened.
