Every developer has been there: a critical bug surfaces at 10 PM, and you're deep in the debugging rabbit hole. The c... - Part 7

The late-night debugging dilemma is that you need to stay focused and alert, but you also need to be able to sleep when you're done. Light management is the key to solving this paradox.

During active debugging, keep your workspace lit with warm-neutral light. A Night Light app at 4000K provides enough illumination to stay focused without the harsh blue spike that would keep you wired after you finish.

When you find the bug and fix it, immediately switch to recovery mode. Set the Night Light to 2000K at 10% brightness for 10-15 minutes. This rapid warm-down helps your brain transition from high-alert debugging mode to pre-sleep relaxation.

The Night Light wind-down is crucial because it counteracts the adrenaline spike that comes from solving a challenging problem. Without this deliberate cool-down, your brain stays in celebration/problem-solving mode, making sleep nearly impossible.

Debug smarter, not longer. And always budget time for a proper wind-down.
