BlueandCosmos is designed as a one-stop portal for space-related education and discovery. From astronomy news and celestial event tracking to interactive tools and learning resources, it’s built to spark curiosity and make the cosmos accessible to everyone.
For me, this project was personal. I’ve always been fascinated by space, and creating BlueandCosmos felt like building a telescope for others — not just to look up, but to look deeper. My goal was simple: give students and curious minds a launchpad to explore, learn, and share their passion for the universe.
And that’s where Kiro came in.
How We Built It with Kiro
📋 Specs Made Simple
We structured everything with requirements.md, design.md, and tasks.md. This gave Kiro clear direction and traceability. For example, ExploreX (our space-travel recommender) went from 8 user stories + 21 tasks → full working feature with APIs, UI, and error handling.
🎯 Vibing into Features
Kiro’s vibe coding turned plain English into production-ready code.
“Build a moon phase widget” → generated a live lunar calendar 🌙
“Make the footer consistent” → auto-updated 12+ HTML files 🔄
“Space travel recommender” → delivered ExploreX with autocomplete + celestial events 🌍
🎛️ Steering for Consistency
We used Kiro to enforce design, accessibility, and performance. Every page followed the same visual system, hit Core Web Vitals, and shipped with secure input validation.

Agent hooks saved hours by auto-formatting, syncing headers/footers, and updating related files in one go. Kiro even handled testing and commit logs seamlessly.
