AN AGILE SERENITY PRAYER

God grant me the strength to accept the last-minute changes that get requested a week before a release, the courage to tell the client they can have that neat new feature, but not in this release, and the wisdom not to use velocity as a measure of productivity.

The spirit of it is right: Focus on what matters, and don’t fret what we don’t control.

But one thing jumped out at me as out of place: a week before a release.

This concept should be completely foreign to any modern agile team, in the era of continuous delivery/deployment.

If your team isn’t releasing multiple times per day, you should sign up for my free Lean Continuous Deployment Bootcamp and get started!
