Did you think we were all going to vanish after announcing the codebase and partying up at the Verge Meetup? Think again! We're still here, with some fresh off the keyboard development update! Without further hesitation, let's get into it.
Codebase Release
On the 16th of May, my fellow teammate Marvin Piekarek pushed the latest release of our codebase, named Lumos. In case you missed it, you can read the press release here.
Without getting too technical, we found a bug when creating a stealth address and then encrypting the wallet, which would make that stealth address unusable. This critical bug was fixed a few days later when we pushed for the 5.1 release.
Currently, we are working on a newfound issue which causes the reindex process to crash when launching the daemon in -reindex mode.
You can follow the bug resolution directly on GitHub, but apart from this everything else is working great!
iOS Wallet
After the iOS wallet release, the workload hasn’t stopped. Our iOS team is currently working on… wait for it… Moon Mode!
No, it doesn’t shoot Verge’s price to the moon (sorry, your adoption will do that), but The "Swenator" is a king for naming things and thus he has named the dark mode, Moon Mode.

In the meantime, our great community has struck again, already providing translations for the wallet in 12 languages! Thank you very much for helping Verge being spread across every border!

Android Wallet
While we don’t have shiny screenshots of the Android wallet, there has been a lot of code written to prepare for the integration of our Verge Wallet Service. Once this step is completed, VWS features will be used and we will start planning a public beta for testing the wallet. If we summarize that with a sentence, it’s the last step before being able to send and receive funds!
While this sounds great, there is no time frame for that, although Manuel stated at the meetup that he wishes to be done before the end of 2019 (for the beta).
