When we started Vets and Care, the idea wasn’t born in a boardroom. It came from lived frustration the kind every Indian pet parent knows too well.
We’ve stood in long clinic queues with restless dogs. We’ve seen friends in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities struggle to find licensed vets. We’ve felt the helplessness when emergencies struck at night and no reliable guidance was available.
That’s when we asked ourselves:
“Why isn’t there one trusted place for both medical and lifestyle care for pets in India?”
Understanding the Problem
Our early conversations with pet parents revealed the same struggles:
- Delays and high costs because preventive checkups were skipped.
- Fragmented services — one app for grooming, another for boarding, none for emergency vet care.
- Lack of certified veterinary support in smaller cities.
We realized that India’s growing pet population needed more than scattered solutions. They needed a complete ecosystem.
Our Vision
Instead of building just another clinic or app, we went digital-first. Why? Because technology can bridge the gap between pet parents and veterinarians, no matter where they live.
From day one, Vets and Care was designed to be more than consultations. Our ecosystem brings together:
- Online vet consultations with licensed professionals.
- Preventive care reminders for vaccinations and checkups.
- Lifestyle & wellness support: diet, activity, and weight tracking.
- At-home services like grooming, training, and boarding.
We wanted it to feel as natural as calling a friend: only this friend happens to be your pet’s vet.
Challenges We Faced
Of course, it wasn’t easy.
- Convincing pet parents that online consultations work took time and proof.
- Building a network of vets meant earning their trust that quality wouldn’t be compromised.
- Designing an app for India meant ensuring it worked on low bandwidth, not just fast 4G.
But each challenge shaped us into what we are today: resilient, pet-first, and committed.
Our Team, Our Culture
At the heart of Vets and Care is our team founders, veterinarians, tech developers, and support staff. What unites us isn’t just skill, but a simple value:
👉_ Pets first, always._
That’s the culture that keeps us grounded, whether we’re onboarding a new vet or building the next feature.
Milestones That Matter
Some moments we’ll never forget:
- Our first 100 consultations.
- Launching on the Play Store and App Store.
- Expanding from metro cities to Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns.
- Partnering with shelters and NGOs to support stray welfare.
Every milestone reminded us: this isn’t just a business, it’s a community movement.
Our vision is bold but simple: to make India a pet-health inclusive nation, where every animal owned or stray can access timely care.
