I can definitely relate to the entire If you build it... section especially “just dump everything you have into Excel”. I have seen teams spend years building up a dashboard that ended up being a place that folks went to click, download to excel. Then run decade old macros on the data. Make big changes to the UI and no one even notices. Change the order of one column and a whole host of alarms and questions of accuracy go off.
