moomoo | Open Singapore Account after USA Account Created

Suppose you have only 1 phone number and 1 email address, you registered in moomoo USA, you get a moomoo ID and a brokerage account ID. The phone number and email address are all linked to this moomoo ID. If you installed the moomoo app and log in, and you can only see one account ID in the app.

But, suppose you wanna also register a moomoo Singapore brokerage account, you'll find no way to do registration in the app.

Now, you need this link: https://openaccount.sg.moomoo.com/setup-page, click Sign Up. Do not worry about the link, it does not contain any promotion code, just a clean and official link. Or you could head to the official help page to click it yourself

After you entered your email, it asked you type in (not set) the password. Yep, it knows you are already a customer of moomoo USA. Then it will redirect you to the page of applying a Singapore accout.

But, in the last step, Facial Verification, it says something like "... for a better experience of opening account, please download the app and continue...". Yep, you get it, since it is pretty hard to do this step on web page technically, so it ask you to do it in the app.

Here comes the true problem: since you already activated the moomoo USA account, and in most cases, you've already installed the app, and have already logged in with your moomoo ID. You open the app, found no where to continue this step. Log out then log in, the same thing. And, there is only one version of moomoo app, no specified Singapore version.

What you should do:

  1. Copy the link of the web page which tells you to download the app
  2. Open moomoo app -> Me -> Customer Service -> Online Inquiry, paste the link into the message field, send.
  3. Disregard anything the chat bot responses, just tap the link you just sent
  4. Finish the Facial Verification
