From Helpdesk to Cybersecurity (2026): Week 1 — Building My Proof System

This week I started my cybersecurity journey with one goal: make my progress visible.

Instead of “studying in private,” I’m building a proof-first system where every hour turns into something I can show:

• GitHub = proof (repo + notes + projects)
• DEV.to = weekly write-up
• LinkedIn = weekly recap for reach

What I built

• A GitHub repo that will hold everything I do
• A weekly notes structure so I can track progress consistently
• Templates for DEV.to + LinkedIn so posting stays fast

What I learned

• A clean structure makes learning easier because I don’t waste time figuring out “where stuff goes”
• Small commits add up — GitHub becomes a timeline of progress

What’s next

Next week I’m setting up my Z640 lab:

• Install Proxmox
• Create Windows + Ubuntu VMs
• Set up snapshots so I can safely break and restore my lab
