This week I started my cybersecurity journey with one goal: make my progress visible.
Instead of “studying in private,” I’m building a proof-first system where every hour turns into something I can show:
- GitHub = proof (repo + notes + projects)
- DEV.to = weekly write-up
- LinkedIn = weekly recap for reach
What I built
- A GitHub repo that will hold everything I do
- A weekly notes structure so I can track progress consistently
- Templates for DEV.to + LinkedIn so posting stays fast
What I learned
- A clean structure makes learning easier because I don’t waste time figuring out “where stuff goes”
- Small commits add up — GitHub becomes a timeline of progress
What’s next
Next week I’m setting up my Z640 lab:
- Install Proxmox
- Create Windows + Ubuntu VMs
- Set up snapshots so I can safely break and restore my lab
