SDET to SDE Journey begins

Hey everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Iโ€™m starting a new chapter in my learning โ€” diving deep into Core Software Engineering, not just automation testing.

๐ŸŽฏ My Goal

I want to become a well-rounded engineer who understands:

  • Java deeply (OOP, Exceptions, Collections, Multithreading)
  • Framework design (Selenium, BDD, Log4j2, TestNG/JUnit)
  • System design & backend concepts
  • Building projects that grow over time

๐Ÿงฑ My Plan

Iโ€™ll build one project and keep enhancing it as I learn new concepts โ€” turning it into an industry-level framework.

Hereโ€™s the sequence Iโ€™m planning:

  1. Start with Core Java
  2. Add design patterns and architecture
  3. Connect with database & backend
  4. Integrate Selenium and automation layers
  5. Finally, make it scalable & CI/CD-ready

๐Ÿ“… What to Expect

Iโ€™ll post updates here on Dev.to about:

  • What I learned each week
  • Code snippets and practical examples
  • Mistakes I made and how I fixed them
  • Framework architecture decisions

๐Ÿง  Why Iโ€™m Writing Publicly

Writing makes learning stick.

If youโ€™re also learning software engineering โ€” letโ€™s connect, share insights, and grow together! ๐ŸŒฑ
