Talking about font weights: bolder can be lighter than bold, and lighter can be as heavy as bold. That's becuase bold is an absolute value that translates to 700, while bolder and lighter are relative values that depends on the parent's font-weight.
Going back to colors: you can use gray or grey, darkgray or darkgray... but you cannot use colour instead of color. (But that makes more sense... I guess)
