Today's comiCSS

comic with 4 panels in a 2x2 grid. The same character says Trust issues? Of course I have trust issues! You see, I've been working with CSS for a while already... (over a dark gray background) ...And, in CSS, this is gray... (over a light gray background) ...but this is darkgray. Then sighs And don't get me started with the sea greens!

Other examples where CSS can create trust issues:

  • The sea green color family: darkseagreen is lighter than lightseagreen; Not to mention that lightseagreen and darkseagreen are not even close to the hue of seagreen and mediumseagreen. Definitely not related.
  • Talking about font weights: bolder can be lighter than bold, and lighter can be as heavy as bold. That's becuase bold is an absolute value that translates to 700, while bolder and lighter are relative values that depends on the parent's font-weight.
  • Going back to colors: you can use gray or grey, darkgray or darkgray... but you cannot use colour instead of color. (But that makes more sense... I guess)

Fun times with CSS...

Given the panel, at least Gemini makes more sense.
