As a technologist, there are a lot of words and acronyms we often only read or type out but don't say out loud (commands/services/etc). So, I asked a bunch of folks how they pronounce some of them and recorded the result. For example...
For example: "Epoch"
In computing, an epoch is a date and time from which a computer measures system time. Most computer systems determine time as a number representing the seconds removed from particular arbitrary date and time.
How do you pronounce it?

Actually "epoch" derives from the Greek word "εποχή" which means period. If we take that into consideration the correct pronunciation would be /e.poˈç/.
