WARNING: VERY hot take from @jfbrennan on laptop stickers! Are you a sticker person or a minimalist person? I'm the latter, but I love collecting laptop stickers for notebooks and water bottles.

Great password storing tip, @yoursunny 🤣🤣🤣. Shared in this post on Donald Trump's recently revealed Twitter password.

My password is o7j7k3w5. I post it on Twitter and forums, so that I can just look for this comment when I forget.
Please do not transfer my money or use my calling account, honor system, thanks.

Sound advice on achieving greatness as a developer from @isarisariver.

Just build stuff. Courses are great for the basics, after that start building something. It can be anything that interests you. For example a Twilight quote generator or a vegan recipe search machine. Every project will present new problems which in turn teach you something new that you can use in your next project.

Great perspective on the importance of happiness and satisfaction for developers from engineering manager, @trashhalo. Shared in this thread about the role of enthusiasm in the software development process.

Its complicated.

I cant comment on the prioritization by user needs, business value etc. Cause I'm not product. But as a engineering manager I can say happy engineers become less happy if they do not feel "heard". If you want your team stable and consistently bringing product value its best to mix in wins for product to build up good karma with their engineers.

Maybe you read this and you say no product/business value only. We pay these people to write software you dont get to influence this. I would respond that people are complicated and coding is often a creative endeavor. Nothing kills creativity like being burnt out, upset, or tired.

Thanks for sharing a pic of your clean workstation, @ibonkonesa. You have an even cleaner guitar if I do say so myself 👌

See you next week for more great comments ✌
