# Preface:
This is the third book I finished reading in 2023. I bought this book because, of course, before the Taiwan election, there were always related military rumors. Even foreign colleagues would anxiously ask about the situation in Taiwan, and this kind of anxiety would actually make Taiwanese people nervous as well. But after calming down and thinking carefully, I also wanted to know, if they really were to attack, how would they do it? And would we have a chance to win? This is why I bought this series of books. Actually, there were quite a few books recommended at the time. But this one really explores all the frequently heard "rumors" in detail, which is really quite interesting.

◎ Debunk various military rumors that have been circulating for many years and establish military common sense based on factual evidence.
◎ In the tense US-China standoff, with the US, Japan, Europe, Australia, and India encircling China, Taiwan is on the front lines and must understand our actual situation more clearly.
◎ Cultivate basic common sense, judge the changing situation, and not be led by various false information and information warfare rumors, so as not to play into the hands of the opponent.
## Part 1: Debunking Common Military Rumors About Attacking Taiwan
First, it lists many commonly heard military rumors about attacking Taiwan, such as:
- The theory of ballistic missiles attacking Taiwan:
- The theory of a thousand drones paralyzing defense
- The theory of airborne troops' surprise decapitation
- The theory of ten thousand ships attacking Taiwan
- The classic rumor that has remained unchanged for ten thousand years - the blockade of Taiwan
These rumors are all built on the condition that China has abundant resources, but the real facts are:
- The Taiwan Strait is truly a barrier.
- Any bombing and beach landing actions will involve a considerable degree of sacrifice.
- Airborne troops must be able to successfully decapitate, and they must be able to do so without any air force base interception. But in a real war, even if the president is killed, there will be many acting heads of state who will continue to execute. And airborne troops are quite easily turned into mincemeat, one killed at a time. The number who can land successfully will be quite small.
- If a blockade of Taiwan truly occurs, it's not just Taiwan. Japan, South Korea, and even the entire Southeast Asian shipping will be affected. China cannot ignore the protests of every country.
And all the facts also exclude the situation where the United States and Japan completely disregard Taiwan's survival. If these two countries intervene, the entire process of attacking Taiwan cannot be simpler.
## Part 2: Tactics of China's Invasion of Taiwan
Next is the stage of actual war games, seriously discussing what tactics China would use if it really wanted to invade Taiwan, which are:
- How to seize several key points for victory
- Where to land
- How to lift Taiwan's military state after landing
- How to advance to all of Taiwan
The process of how to truly invade Taiwan, really carefully exploring it, will only then understand the significant casualties and difficulties that the entire process may cause.
## Part 3: The Ongoing War
In fact, China's invasion of Taiwan has already begun, and what we can see is information warfare. Besides information warfare, if the war truly continues, what will happen:
- The war is not immediately a wasteland, logistics supply and continuous occupation of all of Taiwan's land
- Besides landing warfare, what other methods are there?
- Blockade and economic warfare, what methods will there be.
## Part 4: The Real Strategic Thinking of Taiwan and Neighboring Countries
This mentions the neighboring countries related to Taiwan's safety, and what impact they will have if China invades Taiwan.
# Thoughts:
As the author says in the book's conclusion, after truly sitting down and thinking seriously. After truly and seriously analyzing all the ways to invade Taiwan, you will know that invading Taiwan itself is really quite a thankless task. So, why are there so many rumors and information warfare? Because rumors and information warfare cause the least damage and are the easiest way to cause Taiwan to split. Therefore, we cannot be afraid of war, but we should not be relaxed either. We should not be afraid and terrified in the face of rumors, and we should seriously consider the chaos and division that all the rumors want to cause.
The greatest harm in the world is often fear and division. Only by being more united can we make our personal safety more secure.
