I've been using Windows for years and have tried Ubuntu and several other distro for coding and yes, it was faster to code in Linux than Windows. I remember when I have to commit a code it takes about 2-3 times longer in Windows than in Linux, I was surprised because I can reproduce that using WSL.
But the only thing stopping me from using Linux completely is because I rely heavily on Visual Studio. For now I'm quite happy using Windows and WSL.
