The Paradox of Science: Between the Social Brain and the Rigor of Method

This article attempts to deconstruct contemporary science, revealing its fundamental paradox. On the one hand, science represents the pinnacle of rationality, while on the other, its foundations lie in the evolutionary mechanism of the social brain, as described by Robin Dunbar. The text analyzes how "Machiavellian intelligence" and theory of mind, originally designed for group survival, clash with the rigors of the scientific method, falsification, and the mathematization of the world. The author questions the limits of human cognition in the age of artificial intelligence and machine learning, which are becoming the new "black boxes."
