I’m a Solo Creator. Here's How I Make a Week of Video Content in 10 Minutes.

I’m a solo content creator, and for a long time, I was stuck on a hamster wheel. I’d spend hours recording long-form videos—a podcast, a tutorial, a deep-dive—and then spend what felt like an eternity editing. But the real problem wasn't the long video; it was creating all the short-form content needed for platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Manually finding the best moments, trimming them, adding captions, and formatting for each platform was exhausting. It felt like a full-time job in itself. My creativity was getting killed by repetitive, manual editing. I knew there had to be a better way to turn my long content into dozens of small, engaging clips.
I’ve found that way, and it’s a system that lets me create a whole week's worth of videos in about 10 minutes. Here’s my secret.

The Power of Faceless Content

The first part of my strategy was to embrace the Faceless Video. This is content that doesn’t show a person’s face. Instead, it might use dynamic text, stock footage with a voiceover, or a screen recording. This is a massive trend for a reason: it's incredibly scalable. You can produce a high volume of it without worrying about lighting or being "on camera."
The growth of platforms built on short-form content confirms this. As of 2023, YouTube announced that its YouTube Shorts platform now averages over 50 billion daily views. People are consuming this type of content at an incredible rate. But even with a faceless approach, I still needed to solve the editing problem.

My AI Co-Pilot

My search led me to a new kind of tool: an AI Clip Maker. The promise was simple: you upload a long video, and the AI analyzes the content to find the most engaging, "viral" moments. It then automatically creates dozens of short clips, complete with captions.
I was skeptical at first, but when I tried a tool like this, my workflow was completely changed. For example, a tool I personally use called Short AI acts like a co-pilot. I just upload a video file, and within minutes, the AI generates a selection of potential clips based on the content.
These tools can automatically complete a few key tasks that used to take me hours:
It finds the highlights: The AI analyzes speech patterns and key topics to detect the most interesting parts of the video.
It removes filler words: The tool automatically snips out “ums” and “ahs,” making the clips sound much more professional.
It generates captions: This is a huge time-saver. Captions are no longer optional. A study by HubSpot found that roughly 85% of social media videos are watched without sound. The fact that these AI tools can instantly generate dynamic captions is a game-changer.

My New 10-Minute Workflow

My entire content creation process is now streamlined. It looks like this:
Record the Main Content: I record my full-length video, focusing entirely on value and quality. I don’t even think about the short clips at this stage.
Upload to an AI tool: I simply upload the raw video file.
Review and Select Clips: Within minutes, the AI presents a series of clips. I quickly review them, make any small adjustments, and select the ones I want to use.
Export and Distribute: These tools format and export the videos perfectly for each platform.
This workflow has allowed me to increase my output significantly. The time I used to spend on tedious editing is now used for creating new content or engaging with my community. It also makes repurposing old content incredibly easy. I can go back to my video archive, run a past video through an AI tool, and generate a whole new batch of clips.
In today's fast-paced content landscape, leveraging an AI Clip Maker isn't just a luxury; it’s a necessity for any creator looking to grow. It’s the easiest way to keep up with the demand for content and stay ahead of the curve.
