Pastopia: When Gaming Meets Coding

Introduction

There are multiple ways to learn something. Some prefer to learn by practice, some prefer to learn by reading, some prefer to learn by studying, and some prefer to learn by watching.

When I want to learn something, I usually either learn it by practice (Like I am doing with GO 101) or by reading/watching (mostly official stuff), but when it comes to teaching, I prefer to teach things with humour, with comedy and a sparkle of fun.

For example, recently I have been working on one of my projects called Atomicity. It's a game about chemistry and stuff. One of the reasons for making this game was that I like chemistry, but people don't.

Similar things can be observed in programming. I like GO and Miniscript more than Python, but someone may like Python more.

And the only reason we hate something is either we don't get it (Like in the chemistry case) or it's truly bad (C++).

If it's truly bad, then that issue cannot be solved, but if someone is hating or disliking something because they don't know it, Hmmm, I guess this could be solved in some way.

Pastopia

That's where Pastopia comes into play.

A game for programmers by programmers who like gaming.

At the end, what could be better than playing a game, and when you end it, you notice you now know all the basic syntax and many intermediate-level concepts of a programming language.

Pastopia hasn't been released yet, but is expected to be released this month.
However, the demo version of the game has been released and it's FREE FOR ALL.

So why not give it a try? At the end, playing games that improve skills is better than playing games that don't.

And also, Pastopia has won the award in the Best Technology category in the Sea Game Awards 2024.

SECRET: THIS GAME ALSO HAS MINISCRIPT AS A PROGRAMABLE LANGUAGE

This post is not sponsored by Quurk Studios or any other person related to this game somehow. The Actual goal of this post was to promote such an amazing game and nothing else, and the author (Dat_One_Dev) also has no connection with the developer of the game.
