Why Do Simple Tasks Eat Up Hours of Your Day — And How One Hub Fixes It?

Lately, I realized that a lot of productivity loss doesn’t come from big projects, but from constantly switching between tiny tasks:

  • Formatting text: Case Converter, Text Trimmer, Text Reverser, Word Counter, Lorem Ipsum Generator
  • Generating passwords or random names: Password Generator, Random Name Generator, Random PIN Generator, UUID Generator
  • Testing APIs or encoding data: API Tester, JSON Formatter, XML/YAML Formatter, URL Encoder, Base64 Tool, Regex Tester, Color Picker, QR Generator
  • Working with images or audio: Image Converter, Image Resizer, Audio Converter, Emoji Tools, Hash Generator
  • Handling documents and units: PDF Tools, Unit Converter, Currency Converter, Time Zone Converter, Barcode Generator
  • Networking and security checks: IP Lookup, Email Validator, SSL Checker
  • Fun distractions: Neon Flap game

Each task is simple, but constantly hopping between tabs and different websites breaks focus more than you’d expect.

To solve this, I built HarisLab.tech — a browser-based hub with all these tools in one place. Most processing happens on the client-side, keeping your data secure and operations fast.

I’m curious how others handle this “tiny task friction” — do you have a system to reduce context switching, or do you accept it as part of modern work?
