While the hype cycle screams that Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is imminent and human labor is obsolete, the reality on the ground is far more nuanced—and precarious. For leaders, managers, and knowledge workers, navigating this terrain requires ignoring the marketing buzz and facing the unspoken truths of the AI revolution.

To build a sustainable strategy, we must confront the economic fragility of the "AI bubble," the insidious risks of "agent psychosis," and the reason why human judgment is becoming more, not less, valuable.

There is a recurring dream in the history of technology—from COBOL in the 1970s to No-Code tools in the 2000s—that we can eliminate the need for specialized human developers. AI is the latest chapter in this story.
