I'll try not to bury you in recommendations. I think I get way too into fiddling with colors and fonts and plugins and stuff. Anyways, here goes.
Like I said, I'm not sure how Atom compares, but VS Code is great. Especially if you're writing JavaScript, the native support is off the charts. Also the Fira Code font with ligatures enabled. Also also, this Star Wars theme for Atom -- and my port of that for iTerm :) Also also also (last one, I promise), the z command is magical.
OK, I'm done. Thanks so much for everything you and your team do to make Dev.to available to all of us, and for the community that you've grown.
