I Built screen2.link to Share Screenshots Without Uploading Them Everywhere

Sharing a screenshot sounds simple — until it isn’t.

Most options mean:

  • Uploading to a third-party service
  • Creating an account
  • Leaving images around forever
  • Accidentally oversharing more than you intended

I wanted something faster and more disposable.

So I built screen2.link.

What it does

  • 📸 Share screenshots with a single link
  • 🕳️ One-time or temporary access
  • ⏳ Optional expiration
  • 🚫 No accounts, no feeds, no tracking
  • ⚡ Lightweight and fast

Open it, view it, and it’s gone.

Why I made it

  • Screenshots are often:
  • Debug output
  • Error messages
  • Internal tools
  • Temporary context

They don’t need to live forever in chat history, cloud albums, or random image hosts.

This is for the “can you look at this real quick?” moments.

Who it’s for

  • Developers sharing bugs or logs
  • Teams collaborating asynchronously
  • Anyone who wants ephemeral screenshots instead of permanent uploads

Try it / feedback welcome

I’m actively iterating and would love feedback — especially around UX, edge cases, or workflows you wish this fit into better.

Built and shared in the spirit of the DEV Community ❤️
