We’ve all seen the "AI is taking our jobs" posts. So, I decided to put it to the test. I found a "Senior AI Dev" (who claimed to have 20 years of experience in game dev and wikis) and let it take the wheel.
The result? It spent 2 hours debugging a for loop that wasn't even broken.
📉 The "Expectation vs. Reality"
- Expectation: Clean, optimized, modular code.
-
Reality: A chaotic mess of nested loops and the AI gaslighting me into thinking
i++was a security risk.
🛠️ How I actually fixed it (The Human Way)
After the AI had its mid-life crisis, I actually had to get to work. I've been building out some projects on GitHub that (ironically) work way better than the "senior" advice I got today.
If you want to see code that actually compiles without a 2-hour therapy session, check out what I'm working on:
Currently featured in my repos:
- Project 1: A 3D model of Ancient Baghdad with orbitcontrols.
- Project 2: An encrypted P2P messaging service that uses direct browser-to-browser communication, bypassing central servers for total privacy.
Let's settle this:
What’s the dumbest thing an AI (or a "Senior" dev) has ever told you? Let’s swap horror stories in the comments.
