Starting my first post here to share a bit about my journey in DevOps and cloud engineering.
I’ve been working as a DevOps Engineer for several years, primarily focused on AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation. Like many others, I didn’t start with everything figured out. My learning came from breaking things, fixing them, and building projects that resemble real-world systems.
Why I chose Containers and AWS
Containers completely changed how I think about application delivery. Instead of worrying about “it works on my machine,” Docker and Kubernetes gave me consistency, scalability, and confidence.
AWS became my preferred cloud platform because it allows you to combine managed services with full control when needed. Services like EKS, CloudFront, IAM, and CloudWatch helped me understand how production systems are actually designed and operated.
What I’m currently building
Right now, I’m working on:
- Containerized full-stack applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipelines to automate build and deployment workflows
- Secure and scalable AWS architectures for real-world use cases
- Most of my learning comes from hands-on projects, not just tutorials. Building end-to-end systems has taught me far more than isolated examples.
Why I’m sharing here
I believe learning becomes more effective when shared. Through Dev.to, I plan to write about:
- Practical Kubernetes and Docker use cases
- AWS architecture patterns
- DevOps automation lessons from real projects
- Common mistakes and how to avoid them My goal is to keep things simple, practical, and honest—especially for engineers who are still learning or transitioning into DevOps.
What’s next
- Upcoming posts will cover:
- Deploying applications on Kubernetes step by step
- CI/CD best practices for containerized workloads
- AWS cost, security, and observability basics
If you’re learning DevOps, cloud, or containers, feel free to say hi or share your journey too. Looking forward to learning together 🚀
