# Preface:

This is the eleventh book I've read this year. This is probably the only financial book I've read in the past few years because I haven't been doing any financial management for a long time (sad face). I've played with funds before, and luckily made 30~40%. (Indian funds were very popular for a few years). But later, because I needed to buy a house, I had to sell all the funds that were losing money. In fact, I also returned all the profits.

After that, I adopted a Buddha-like stock buying strategy. Occasionally, my wife would buy a share of Hon Hai when she was in a good mood. Holding it and then selling it. It's treated as a small interest discussed between husband and wife. But I didn't really play seriously. But after the mortgage pressure became lighter, I began to seriously consider how to use my savings. Through a chance encounter, I watched related videos of "Drum Fish" and "Great Hero Wulin", and felt that it was quite suitable for office workers like us who hate watching the market every day. So I bought this book back to read.

I just wanted to see the experience. As a result, I found that I didn't understand many technical terms about stocks, so I had to take a lot of notes. Through this book, I also enriched many of my basic financial concepts. This book is for office workers who don't have time to watch the market and hope to have a slightly better return than fixed deposits.

‧Why dare to heavily invest in Mega Bank?
‧State-owned financial holding companies will have 3 obvious periods of rising prices every year
‧Fund allocation in batches combination skills
‧Investing in Mega Bank, should you buy before or after the ex-dividend date?
‧Estimate the possible dividend payout of state-owned financial holding companies in advance before the company announces it
‧For long-term investment in Mega Bank, the dividend yield is actually more than 5%?

【1 table to grasp the important investment schedule of state-owned financial holding companies】
Which period of the year will the dividend be announced?
Which month of the year can you receive dividends?
When can you know the annual profit at the earliest?
What important data will the company announce every month?
Great Hero Wulin's private investment schedule is unreservedly disclosed

## Related Notes:

### Why Choose Mega Bank

- The major shareholder is the Ministry of Finance, which is relatively stable. (Too big to fail)
- Long-term dividend yield is 5% (stable dividends)

### Major Calendar of Financial Stocks

- January: Last year's EPS is announced
- April: The board of directors announces dividends
- June: Shareholders' meeting announces dividends (and the last day of stock transfer)
- August: Ex-dividend
- September: Receive dividends
- **December: Foreign investors' selling pressure.**

### Related Stock Market Terminology Notes

EPS: Earnings Per Share, usually calculated using the full year's profit situation. Can be used as a reference for the previous year.

Dividends = EPS x Average Profit Distribution Rate

Stock Price = Dividends / Dividend Yield

(Usually, the dividend yield can be used to estimate the "average dividend yield" through the dividend yield of the previous three years, as a basis for calculating whether the current price of the stock is cheap.

Ex-dividend: The price of the stock after deducting the dividends.

Ex-dividend fill (dividend fill): After the stock price is ex-dividend, it returns to the price before the ex-dividend through market mechanisms. (Usually there is a dividend fill date)

### Operating Experience of Financial Stocks: Don't look at how much it has risen, you should see how much you can receive when it falls.

### Batch Entry Rules

- **EPS is better than last year:**
  - August ~ December, three times a month for regular fixed amount. Batch entry for a total of: 14 times.
- **EPS is lower than last year:**
  - August ~ April of the following year, three times a month for regular fixed amount. Batch entry for a total of: 26 times.

### Advantages of Regular Fixed Amount Compared to All-In

- Diversify risk
- Not easy to buy high and sell low
- You can have some funds, and when you see the market crash. Buy more stocks.

### Selling Stock Opportunities

Only when "buying a house, buying land, changing stocks" will you sell stocks.

## Thoughts:

I am not a person who likes to watch the market (compared to watching the market, writing Leetcode has become my recent hobby), this book is quite suitable for me. There are many psychological construction suggestions for people who are prone to gains and losses. Although I have played stocks and funds a few times, I often All-In, which leads to an inability to live a normal life. Through stock investment and the layout of financial stocks, my fund management can have some safer parts. And I can get better returns than banks.

Investment experts say it well:

Assets are placed in the bank to receive interest, a small 1.5% has to look at the bank's face.
Assets to buy bank stocks, dividends are less than 5%, as a shareholder you can still complain.
If you have assets, you should let the best talents in the world help you make money! (Stocks)
