Why I built this
I was tired of sharing photos on Instagram where everyone sees everything. I wanted a private space where I could share moments with just my family, or just my close friends, or just the people from a trip.
So I built Momentos — you create "circles" (family, close friends, trip crew) and share photos and memories only with those people. No feed, no algorithm, no strangers.
The tech stack
- Mobile: Expo + React Native + TypeScript
- Backend: Supabase (Auth + PostgreSQL + Storage + Edge Functions)
- Data sync: PowerSync (local-first SQLite — works offline)
- Styling: Tailwind for React Native (Uniwind)
I need your help
Google Play requires 14 closed testers who opt in for 14 days before I can publish to production. If you have an Android phone and 30 seconds:
