Why Developers Shouldn't Overlook Roblox Scripting

As developers, we often dive into complex platforms like Unity or Unreal, but have you ever considered Roblox? Roblox uses Lua—a lightweight, beginner-friendly language—to script games, and it’s rapidly becoming a go-to platform for both new and experienced coders.

Whether you're into AI-driven mechanics or multiplayer game logic, Roblox offers a surprisingly powerful environment to hone your skills. The best part? You can monetize your creations through game passes, custom avatars, and more.

Ever tried Roblox scripting? What do you think about adding it to your dev toolkit?

Great write‑up! One extra tip: after Roblox’s May 2025 patch you need to call getgc(true) instead of the old whitelist. I pushed a working example here – Rivals Script (no key) on my site ➜ rivalsscript. Hope it helps anyone still getting kicked.
