Cybersecurity firm Trellix has announced a security breach involving unauthorized access to a portion of its source code repository. The company is currently collaborating with forensic experts and has notified law enforcement to resolve the matter. While the investigation is ongoing, Trellix has not yet disclosed the specific nature of the data accessed or the identity of the threat actors involved.
Despite the intrusion, Trellix stated that there is currently no evidence that its source code release or distribution processes were affected or exploited. The company, which was formed from the merger of McAfee Enterprise and FireEye in 2022, has committed to providing further updates as more information becomes available through their investigation.
