I would say that a good programmer should always ask something.

Also these kind of questions?

How do I hack Facebook/Instagram?
I have an app idea. Would you implement it? I give you a share of 10% if it's successful.
How can I download more RAM?

Yes.

How do I hack Facebook/Instagram?

If he wants to hack Facebook/Instagram, he has the need to do so. Understand the need enough, and you'll be able to dissuade to do it, or to find another solution. If he never ask and figure by himself, it's even worst.

First, it's a weird question for a developer. I mean we usually try to build what we want. But even if it's a genuine question, he will understand quickly that nobody wants to do it. In short, he will learn that it doesn't work that way.

How can I download more RAM?

If a beginner ask this question, somebody can explain that RAM can't be downloaded. If he doesn't, he might keep a big misconception and make mistakes because of it.
