🚀 Why I Built This
Most OCR platforms today rely on cloud processing.
That means:
Documents are uploaded to servers
Internet connection is mandatory
Sensitive data leaves your device
Limited control over privacy
For manuscripts, academic research, and institutional archives, this approach is not ideal.
So I built AksharaTantra — a fully offline, browser-based multilingual OCR platform focused on privacy, speed, and Indic language support.
