Technically, this works.
But most real projects don’t fail at execution.

Modern LLMs can already:
absorb domain knowledge quickly
generate convincing PRDs and technical documentation
propose reasonable architectures
produce runnable implementations
Execution quality is no longer the hard part.
The real problems appear later — during reviews, objections, and reversals.
Where Cross-Domain Projects Actually Fail
In practice, projects rarely fail because “the AI couldn’t build it.”
They fail when questions show up like:
Why this approach instead of existing industry solutions?
Which assumptions are negotiable?
What happens when the original premise is challenged or invalidated?
At that moment, the key question is no longer:
Can AI keep generating output?
It becomes:
Should this project continue at all?
Automation Is Not the Differentiator
Highly automated workflows already exist in traditional software and enterprise tools.
So automation itself is not scarce.
What is scarce is:
the authority to stop a process when it’s heading in the wrong direction.
Without that authority, automation becomes momentum without judgment.

They improve consistency, documentation quality, and implementation stability.
But they rely on a hidden assumption:
the initial premise is correct.

It makes the mistake more systematic, more convincing, and harder to challenge.
Why AI Keeps Going
This behavior isn’t a bug.
LLMs are optimized to:
accept given premises
generate coherent continuations
avoid refusal unless explicit boundaries are crossed
Without a decision layer, automation naturally optimizes for continuation — not correctness.
In other words, automation accelerates whatever direction you point it at, right or wrong.
The Real Capability: Knowing When to Stop
The real dividing line isn’t:
model size
workflow complexity
number of agents
It’s this:
Do you have a mechanism that can say “no” to the project itself?
Without it:
objections feel like disruption
requirement changes feel like failure
With it:
objections become information
stopping early becomes success
