What I Built
Symmetria - AI Rangoli Architect represents the evolution of my Hackathon project, now transformed through Google AI Studio's multimodal capabilities into a sophisticated platform that celebrates the rich tradition of Indian Rangoli art. This application serves as both a creative studio and educational portal, seamlessly blending ancient artistic traditions with cutting-edge AI technology to preserve, analyze, and reimagine Rangoli designs through multiple sensory experiences.
The platform addresses the critical challenge of cultural preservation while making traditional art forms accessible to contemporary audiences through interactive technology. By leveraging Gemini's multimodal capabilities, Symmetria bridges generations and geographies, ensuring that this beautiful art form continues to evolve and inspire.

How I Used Google AI Studio
Transforming an SIH Concept into Multimodal Reality
My original Smart India Hackathon project focused on digital preservation of Rangoli patterns. With Google AI Studio, I've transformed it into a comprehensive multimodal experience:
Multimodal Integration Strategy:
- Gemini 2.5 Pro Vision: Enhanced pattern analysis from basic recognition to sophisticated mathematical and cultural understanding
- Live API Capabilities: Added real-time voice interaction and dynamic content generation
- Multimodal Content Generation: Created seamless transitions between visual, auditory, and textual experiences
Key Technical Enhancements:
- Upgraded from static pattern database to AI-generated designs
- Transformed basic analysis into deep mathematical symmetry proofs
- Added cultural intelligence and historical context understanding
- Implemented real-time voice control and interactive storytelling
Multimodal Features
1. AI-Powered Creation & Remixing
- Text-to-Rangoli Generation: Users describe designs ("peacock motifs with 4-fold symmetry") → AI generates entirely new Rangoli images
- Style Transformation: Upload existing designs → remix with new materials, colors, or styles through natural language commands
- Cultural Authenticity Preservation: AI maintains traditional mathematical principles while enabling creative experimentation
2. Deep Multimodal Analysis
- Mathematical Symmetry Prover: AI performs formal group theory analysis, identifying symmetry groups (D4, etc.) with step-by-step visual proofs
- Cultural Context Engine: Analyzes designs for regional origins, festival associations, and symbolic meanings
- Pattern Complexity Assessment: Evaluates designs using advanced mathematical metrics rooted in traditional principles
3. Artistic Interpretation & Storytelling
- Interactive Rangoli Tales: Choose-your-own-adventure stories generated from pattern analysis
- Visual-to-Audio Translation: Converts geometric patterns into musical compositions based on symmetry and complexity
- Historical Narrative Generation: Creates plausible historical backgrounds and cultural stories for each design
4. Interactive Learning System
- AI Cultural Expert: Chat interface for exploring Rangoli history, techniques, and significance
- Meditative Creation: Animated drawing experiences that teach traditional techniques through peaceful observation
- Adaptive Learning Pathways: Personalized educational journeys based on user interaction patterns
