MusicGen Studio: Creating AI Soundtracks with Python & Open Source Tools

Overview

I'm thrilled to share a project that blends my love for music, code, and creativity: MusicGen Studio, a free and open-source AI music generation bot — live now on Hugging Face Spaces!

From Suno to Building My Own Tool

A few months ago, I began experimenting with Suno to generate soundtrack ideas. It was a game-changer — fast, expressive, and perfect for sketching musical ideas.

So I built MusicGen Studio using:

  • Python & Gradio
  • Meta’s MusicGen model
  • 🤗 Hugging Face Spaces

Now anyone can create custom AI-generated music just by typing a prompt!

What Makes MusicGen Studio Special?

  • Prompt-based music generation (e.g., “epic cinematic trailer with strings and drums”)
  • Powered by 🤗 Hugging Face + Meta's MusicGen
  • Free to use — licensed under MIT
  • No setup needed — just open the link, type your idea, and hit generate

🎵 Launch MusicGen Studio Now

It's perfect for:

  • 🎬 YouTube creators
  • 🧘‍♂️ Meditation channels
  • 🎮 Indie game devs
  • 🧠 Creative coders
  • 📚 Students & educators

I still jamming with Suno, combining it with MusicGen results to layer and remix better soundtracks. ☝️😁
