Lately, almost every company expects you to install multiple work apps on your personal phone.
Workday. ADP. Internal chat. MFA apps. HR tools.
And nobody talks about the hidden cost:
- Your data
- Your battery
- Your storage
- Your attention
Companies created the requirement.
But the cost is silently pushed onto employees.
If an app is mandatory for work, it shouldn’t be mandatory on a personal device.
Either provide a work phone, or provide alternatives.
Curious where others stand on this:
Would you push back, or is this just “normal” now?
